Health-Related

For personal reasons, the entire Bailey House BnB property is smoke-free and vaping-free. Please respect this request.

Check In/Check Out

Check-in time is between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Please contact us if you require a later arrival.

When you arrive, please use the yellow door closest to Geneva Street. Upon check-in, you will receive a code to the door closest to the parking area and a key to your room. Please plan to use your code when entering or exiting Bailey House.

Check-out time is 11:00 AM.

Deposits

A 100% deposit is required at the time of your reservation. We accept most major credit cards and U.S. currency. Please notify us at the time of booking if you are using a gift certificate.

Minimum Stays

We appreciate a minimum of two nights. Plus, there are just so many things to do in the area that we know you’ll want to spend more time here! Please contact us if you really, really, really need to stay just one night.

Cancellations or No Shows

We recognize that sometimes life gets in the way of plans for peaceful relaxation – just know that we will miss seeing you! To help ease our disappointment, we’ll retain a $35 cancellation fee if you let us know at least 24 hours in advance. Our disappointment increases (as well as our cancellation fee, by up to 50%) if you have to cancel with less than 24-hours-notice. Of course, if you’re just as disappointed as we are, we can hold your deposit for up to three months and apply it towards a future visit.

The full room rate will be billed for no shows. Just let us know you won’t be able to visit, and we’ll work out something so you can experience the joy of getting most of your deposit back.

Parking

There is one complimentary parking spot for each guest room, two on each side of the garage. Please park in just one of those spots - we don’t know Superman, so can’t move your car if it blocks someone else’s spot. Please do not park in front of the garage in the event we need to dash out to pick up something special for you.

Bailey House BnB is in a residential area and we have zoning restrictions on parking. If you are traveling with multiple vehicles, please contact us in advance to discuss alternative parking options.

Safety

For the safety of all our guests, please do not use any type of open flame while in the home. Flameless candles are used in some rooms when requested in advance.

Pets

Bailey House BnB is home to a couple of very friendly rescue dogs. Guest pets are not allowed at this time. Documented service animals are welcome with advance notice. Please check back or contact us for updates to this policy.

Children

Bailey House is an older home on a busy road and is not conducive to the safety of unaccompanied children. If you plan to bring young children, we ask that you contact us in advance to discuss whether or not Bailey House is the right fit.

Guests of Guests

Just like we wouldn’t show up to your home with a gaggle of friends, we’d appreciate knowing in advance if you plan to have any visitors. As a residential property, we have some limits, like fire codes, parking, and the love and respect of our neighbors. We also want to be respectful of the privacy and serenity we offer all our guests.

Meetings and Events

Bailey House BnB is available for small meetings and retreats as long as all attendees are also staying at the BnB. Parking restrictions apply.

Throughout the year we will offer a variety of specialized executive coaching retreats. Contact us for information.

Due to zoning restrictions, we are not able to host events such as weddings, bridal showers, or baby showers. We can refer you to several beautiful spaces in the area for these types of events and hope that you and some of your guests will consider staying with us!

Indoor Entertainment

At Bailey House BnB, you can truly unwind, reconnect, and experience what it’s like to be “away from the things of man”. Only the Texas Suite has a large screen television. However, if you must binge watch instead of bird watch; if you must respond to just that one email instead of catching the Gage Mail Boat, we do have wireless guest internet access. Just be sure to bring your own device.

Damages

So…we waited to the end to bring this up, because we don’t expect any of our guests to intentionally damage anything, but hey, things happen. In the unlikely event that damage occurs to items in the home by either accident or that crazy lampshade dance you were doing, we need to hold you responsible for the cleaning, repair, or complete replacement of damaged items. Many of the pieces within Bailey House BnB are unique or antique, so maybe try that crazy dance by the lake instead.

Policy or Rate Changes

Like most people, we sometimes change our minds. We reserve the right to change or update these policies based on our mood or the alignment of the planets – hey, we ARE right across the road from Yerkes Observatory, after all! We promise not to change them without telling you because that’s what friends do.
